Greenwich Town Centre (SE10) Cottage Refurbishment Project (with Chislehurst Pristine Builders)
I’ve been asked to help redesign a pretty period built cottage which is moments from Greenwich High Street and directly adjacent to an entrance to the much loved Royal Greenwich Park.
Originally the owners had some big plans to excavate the existing cellar to create more living space, but more recently they have decided they aren’t likely going to be able to create their dream vision, so have asked Chislehurst Pristine Builders (whom I work alongside) to refurbish it before putting it on the market for sale.
Current Images:
The owners and myself want to add some charm back into this pretty property. It’s all very drab at the moment.
My Mood Board inspiration:
Ideas I have are: Lots of Period style details (handles light switches etc), a country shaker kitchen in pastel Matt Pebble Grey Colour with solid oak worktops and classic cup handles in brass, wood paneling on the ground floor with Little Greene or Farrow and Ball Colours throughout. A traditional styled paneled bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower with exposed valves. Beautiful traditional style wall lanterns in the Hallway, Lounge and Dining room. Oak floors to the ground floor. Period style shaker Oak doors throughout. A full feature paneled wall in the master bedroom.
I’ll keep this blog updated with images from the progress of the project.
I have now 100% decided on the tiles for the bathroom, from www.mandarinstone.com, and made from honed marble, to add a classy but classic look, perfect for a Cottage. and will look great with the traditional styled sanitaryware.
They’ll look great with this WC that we’ve bought from https://www.easybathrooms.com
Now to choose a beautiful colour for the wood panel to compliment it.
