After trying to sell his property on Dunstans Rd SE22 for several months with a well-known East Dulwich Estate agent our client was recommended to us by a local business.  The vendor was not local to the area, so a quick turnaround was important to him.  We quickly arranged a visit of the property and discussed our thoughts on the value of the property and what we thought the best strategy was to sell the property for the best price.
As the property was empty, we discussed getting a furniture package from a well establish furniture provider to the property industry (David Phillips) to enhance the presentation of the flat and make it view like a show home.  In the meantime, we had already arranged viewings as the vendor wanted to sell as quickly as possible.  We pitched property at a price that was competitive with the local market and managed to attract a good number of viewings for an open day.
Open days are a great way of creating a buzz about a property and creating competing offers. From the open day we achieved an acceptable offer within the first weekend of it going on the market.  This meant the vendor did not have to pay out any extra on dressing the property with furniture.
Our proactive approach was much appreciated by the vendor as it was severely lacking from the previous agent.  If you are looking for advice on the East Dulwich property market feel free to pop into our office on Dog Kennel Hill or give me a call.
