We bought this property in 2012 and it has been a fantastic home for us both

The first thing that really grabbed us is that it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Penge High Street. Once past the private iron gates no-one would ever know that we were there and it never ceased to surprise our guests on how quiet it was.

Crystal Palace Park from door to park is only a 5 minutes' walk, great for bike rides, running and dog walking and on Sunday's there is a fantastic farmers market which sells amazing produce.

There are plenty of good pubs and restaurants nearby and also in Crystal Palaces' Triangle and Beckenham.

All the rooms in the house are light, bright and airy and the living room is a great entertaining space, very cozy in the evening and during summer months the doors are always open bringing the outside inside.

Upstairs the bedrooms are of a good size with large wardrobes in both, so plenty of storage.

We have great neighbours and the street is very friendly with their own WhatsApp group, everyone is invited to join!

An important thing for us was to be well-connected to central London. Both Penge East and West train stations are only a 5 minute walk from the house, with excellent links into London, Kent, Croydon and the South East. The bus routes are good too with the nearest bus stop is only a minutes' walk.

There is off street parking outside the house with an annual permit costing £50.

After eleven happy years we're moving out of London to the Dorset and to be near to the coast. We will miss our happy home in the heart of South London but we take with us many fond memories.
